Consultation fees

Based on the clinics’ published price lists, checked on 1 October 2026. These are clinic tariffs, not a separate tariff for this surgeon. Confirm the current fee and the scope of the examination when booking. Additional examinations may be charged separately.

How much does hernia surgery cost?

The cost depends on the hernia, the planned technique, mesh or other materials, anaesthesia, the length of stay and the facility. A personalised surgical plan is needed before the clinic can confirm a quotation.

The consultation fees above are not prices for inguinal or umbilical hernia operations.

Insurance and self-payment

Care may be available through a clinic’s arrangements with health insurers or on a self-pay basis. Coverage depends on the clinic, your insurer and the procedure. Insurance does not automatically mean that every service is fully covered. The clinic will confirm any supplements or services charged separately.

Before accepting a quotation, ask about

Does a consultation commit me to surgery?

No. It is a separate appointment to discuss the findings, treatment options and payment arrangements. You decide on the next step after we have gone through the options.
